Not true. I occasionally fly SK to burn VS miles, or domestic SWE if TF are too expensive or I need to position myself to head north from ARN towards the country home.

Whereas the C lounges often are emptier. So if the food and the booze is not that important, the C lounges often gives more quiet and room.

Dear, dear Petrus avoiding your national airline in favour of BA,you have become a bit of a snob haven't you?

Well I like SAS actually. Always had a good experience flying with them throughout the years.

- Such things as being allowed to transfer to an earlier CPH-ARN flight on a cheap ticket.
- After my bags+bike failed to connect at CPH on another occasion I was well taken care of with a generous food voucher whilst waiting for the next flight to arrive.
- Being given a top up when paying for my coffee on a GLA-ARN flight not bad coffee as well.
- An excellent business class flight last year on the MAN-ARN route, good food and plenty of drink.

Excellent C-service

Just returned from CPH-LHR-CPH in C. Had the most excellent service, especially on the return leg with the dinner. First, they served drinks and snacks, then came the hot dinner later followed by dessert and coffee. Hot towels before landing and lots of champagne in between.. served with a smile.
Good job, SAS ^

Yup, I think it is now the traditional Swedish brand. We need Hallonsoda in the lounges as well!

I am not much of an SK fan - I think them overpriced, with a poor rewards program, and dated equipment - but I like the following:

1) Gate Upgrades to Y+ for 10k on long-hauls.
2) Nice lounge at CPH
3) Efficient crew

I agree with this (except the odd snotty FA's) However, they charge you in excess of 9,000 SEK for this. It is the least one could expect.

I get the same on BA, for under 4,000 SEK, plus outstanding lounges at LHR and a decent Terraces BA lounge at CPH.

Add all the benefits of BAEC over EB and it becomes easy maths. For a Denmark/Sweden based member, it would require you 5 returns in Club Europe (20,000 SEK) to reach BAEC Silver, which makes EB Silver look like a joke, and is nearly as good as EB Gold.

Perhaps I should ask a Mod to change my handle to SK-Hater?
