I usually don't have access to a printer when I am in DK or SE. According to the SAS website there is trouble if you are going outside Schengen because of the passport control.
But what about security since they require a BP? At CPH I noticed a PC with a card scanner. However, my UA *G card does not register with SK when I try to do self check-in so I doubt it would work here either......
In any case I suppose I can web check-in early to get a good seat and then pick up the BP from the business check-in. (Yes, I have given up getting a pre-assigned seat as *G.

)Sounds like a good plan.
But, just out of curiosity, if your UA card cannot be registered as a valid e-ticket ID, how would you board the plane without a BP? I suppose the gate agents would need to look it up from the computer anyway?
Another thought, could you use a credit card as your ID and try getting past security with that? I'm not sure if this would work or not, but could be worth giving a shot.

Oh yeah, on this trip I didn't pay for the ticket. It was billed directly from a Travel Agent to a company I work for.
However, if I go to check-in or the lounge they swipe the card and bring up the reservation. If I go to easy check-in machine it rejects it......

As far as I know only these cards can be used as e-ticket with SK:
EuroBonus.
LH Miles & More.
Swedish, Danish and Norweigan bank debit cards.
Diners Club.
I think this is because SK can only check personal details (ID number and such things) from these cards. I guess other FF programs within *A keeps this info concealed.

Lets hope more FF cards will be included on the list of valid cards within a near future. Its annoying to use different cards when travelling. On two out of four times during two months when using my EBS as ticket, but collecting miles in AC, AND using the manual check-in my points has failed to post on Aeroplan. Though it works great as long as I use the self service machines. Seems like the agents cant handle a EB and Aeroplan card at the same time without messing up the points issue.

Once you check in over the web the process says that only the gate agent can print a BP. All others are just supposed to swipe your card (*A FF or any credit card) to check if you are checked in for a flight in that terminal. SAS Check in and Lounge staff can override the web check in and print your BP. gate agents are also supposed to swipe your card and print a little piece of paper which mentions your seat number. someone must have thought up this plan to save money on BP paper (??). However in practice anyone (gate, checkin or lounge) will print you a copy for everyones convinience. The gate agent normally reads your name off the card and types it in. The next time you checkin over the web, note the BN shown on the printout you are supposed to take along. That helps them to locate you quickly.
