Lounge Access in CPH

Dear All,
was a little bit confused last week, when I was denied access to the Scandinavian Lounge holding a C ticket - ticketed on SK 8708.
I hold a *gold card.
The lady told me that I have no access as it is a codeshare - which is fine if your ticketed on Estonian - but this was ticketed as SK. Why should I have a different service level on a SK ticketed flight that is a code share than on a normal ticketed Sk flight ? Apart from that I have never experienced this on the LH / SK codeshares ?

Cheers

Thomas

As far as I know you need to fly on a Star Alliance flight. So if you fly on Estonian then you would not have access to SK lounges. If you fly on LH it is a different matter since LH are part of Star Alliance.

But I had a ticket and boarding pass for SK 8704 not OV....

Should I not receive the normal treatment an SK Pax would receive

Sorry for the confusion

Cheers

Again, I am not 100% sure (probably others here know this better) but to my knowledge it does not matter what your boarding pass says - you need to actually fly on a Star Alliance flight so if the flight was Estonian it does not matter what the boarding pass said. :-)

Sorry for being somewhat difficult - you are absolutely right in lieu of the boarding pass - what my main complaint is that my ticket read SK 8704. And that I then do not receive the service from SAS is what puzzles me. I have bought a SK ticket in SK stock and if they choose to provide a seat on a different carrier, that is their choice, but I would have thought that I am entitled to what the handbook says a Pax is entitled to on SAS.

Again my apologies for having difficulties to comprehend - might be the 35 C we are currently having...

Cheers

I was granted lounge access @ ARN as *Gold when flying OV and the ticket was also sold as OV.

I think it's a crapshoot depending on whether they like you and so forth. Some of the woman are older and it could be something crazy like they remember WWII and will give a German a hard time. Or maybe you are Swedish as you username suggests and you will get a hard time.

I saw this in effect last month. She was rather gruff and forced a Swede who was EBG to dig up his connecting BP while she whisked me thru with only a BP stub, as I was terminating there. (I speak Danish.)

I guess this contravenes the theory that a non-SK *G will help(I am guessing that you are *G on LH) because SK collects a fee from the other *A carrier.
