Economy Plus

SAS is offering Economy Plus for additional $ 200 on their Transatlantic rutes.

Is that a good deal

We can purchase the upgrade when we purchase the ticket, but it is only for a rather limited time.

I think it will be worth the extra money, as the seat are same as business , and the food is ok in economy. I would go for it...

Economy extra does not have the same seats as business class.

They are bigger than economy but not as big as business class.

See the seat map for the A340.

You have 38" seat pitch in Economy Extra, which is an extra 6" over Economy.

Business Class is 50".

Out of interest, how keen is SK on putting B class pax in Economy Extra (non Star*G). It's only one class below Y =)

Cheers,

Justin

Recently flew BKK-SIN, always very full with tour groups! Economy was full, but economy plus had about 70% load. So it seems they do not fill this section up.

The pitch is actually better then you expect. you have 38" + you can put your feet under the seat in front of you.

The pitch at C-class is 50", but this is scr*wed up by this shoe box. I challange anybody to bring a measure tape on board and check the distance.

The recline of course beats that of economy plus, but give it a try. IFE and all!
