Upgrade help

Hi:
I'm scheduled to fly SAS from SEA to Warsaw through Copenhagen in mid-January. I am a UA 1K. Is there anyway to upgrade on this trip? Are there any trades possible (SWU on UA for upgrade on SAS?)

Thanks,

You can only upgrade using EuroBonus cerificates which are only valid for the member or their family.

Family=Wife/husband or children under the age of 26.

Another option would be to hop that they will open the middle cabin and have that as economy. That would be biz seats with economy service.

What date are you flying?

Kempis can find out for sure, but I have a feeling that on the CPH-SEA route, the 767 used is generally the 2 cabin version. It's the 3 cabin version that you need. Then, if they run the middle cabin as economy class, your *Gold status should help you get seated there.

Sorry, but as with many FF schemes, SAS and EuroBonus only allow upgrades for their own members (and their families). And even then it's a standby gate upgrade (officially) although upgrades at check-in using the certificates are sometimes done.

I always seem to be one cabin short when I need it. Any recommendation about seats in the 767 that I should request? Exit rows, bulkheads, etc? I assume my *Gold status would get me a reasonably good seat.

thanks for the help.

Best

SAS reservations should be able to tell you which 767 version will be operating.

For Y class bulkhead seats, the row is 21 on the 3 cabin 767 and 17(sides-ABGH)/18(centre-DEF) on the 2 cabin version. Actually on the 2 cabin version row 18(sides-ABGH) looks good as it's an exit row.
