Hi, new to this forum just to find info about Pandion status at SAS.

Just got the message from SAS that I have Gold with Pandion status but no details yet. Anyone who knows more ?

Will go to the US from Sweden next coming weeks on a economy ticket - what is the chance to get an upgrade?

If you are Pandion, don't you have enough points to buy the stand-by upgrade if you have to?

At check in:

1. If the flight is overbooked in economy class, you will stand an excellent chance of getting operationally upgraded for free. Ask at check-in.

-or-

2.If SAS are running the 767 as an economy class middle cabin and that's where you are seated, then forget about the stand-by upgrade. You'll get a business class seat but with economy class service. It's the seat that counts.

-or-

3. If 1 or 2 above don't work out, use 20000 points and do a stand-by upgrade. You'll have to order the upgrade coupons now, but they are good for a year if you in the end don't need to use them.

You must have lots of points surely? Otherwise how did you make it to Pandion?

Welcome to the board Realkefer. My suggestion would be the same as Austmans. If you use your points for an upgrade certificate your chances of being upgrading is much higher.

Hi Kempis and Austman,
thanks for the tips, will probably get me an award for upgrade.

Sure, I have plenty of points and it will not be a problem - planning for a around the world trip with my family (2 adults and 2 kids) late this year with the rest (will probably get 80k-100K until then).

Hi Long-Hauler,
I have been EBG for a around 5 years and I think the main reason is that I have been in a very busy time last 3 months, +50 business class flights mainly in Europe since October.

I hope it will slow down but unfortunately I dont see any signs of that yet, have currently 2 trips next coming week and then a US trip already in the schedule.

It will probably be at least 20-30 RT (40-50 flights) before the summer vacation

The fastest and easiet way to EBP is to buy a TravelPass unlimited and take a few weeks off from work and then travel Without any problem you could earn around 10.000pts each day.

How many basic points did you earn, when you completed your 3 months rush, and became EBP ???
