Rerouted, no points?

Need your advice here! I was rebooked from a LH flight (technical problems) onto another airline that is not a partner to SK and I want my Eurobonus points. I have contacted Eurobonus memberservice, but they cant help me, what should I do? I thought I would earn the LH points!

If it is eurobonuspoints you want, you should be able to end a copy of your original ticket (& maybe the new boarding passes/reroute) to SAS eurobonus and they should give you points as per original route. I was rebooked to AF from USA to Europe due to bad weather/reroute last year, and no problem getting miles for the SAS flight I never flew on.

Yes but that is different, you were booked on SK and Silferlood on LH originally,if you were on SK you would get the miles according to original routing but I guess not on LH.

On the flysas.com is says:

Points for cancelled SAS flights
If you are involuntarily re-accommodated from SAS to another airline or other means of transport, you may request your points for your original flight itinerary

Someone else know anything?

I think you should contact Lufthansa to have them give you the points. It is the airline that is buying the points from the frequent flyer programme, and as such they should be able to buy some for you. Not sure what their policy is though.

Had a somewhat similar incident on LH myself on Thursday. Was booked MAD-FRA-SZG, but ended up flying MAD-MUC with a rental car to SZG. Let's see if they want to give me the 2500 miles for the missing segment...

I've had a LH ticket, rerouted to EK due overbooking - got my Eurobonus points according to original booking.

I don't see a problem for you not to get Eurobonus points. Send in a copy to SAS Retroregistration of the original ticket with a short explanation.

Hope it works out!

Thanks guy's, I will do that and report back what they say. I have six months to do it so if they say no, I will contact LH.

I was rerouted from SK/OV FRA-ARN-TLL to LH FRA-TLL on Thursday due to bad weather at FRA that caused the SK FRA-ARN flight to be cancelled. I was given a standby boarding pass on the LH flight and then given a seat that was an op-up to C. I ended up receiving EGB points for the LH flight in C class. The point value is roughly the same as I'd receive on the other itinerary, so I'm not going to bother trying to get it changed.
