Thanks guys for the info - I'd actually forgotten that I had a *A Gold with United years ago and could not use that with an R Ticket.
Mrs TheS has just sternly (well thats what Service Managers do!) reminded me that we can't use any SK lounge on any I.D. tickets.
I'm going to ask the very nice BA lounge dragon if they'll (just this once break the rules) and let me bring Mrs TheS as a guest as it will be my last use of a decent lounge in OSL for a while!

This loss of the terraces will be a great blow to those BA Golds on Domestics from OSL.

Oh well it was nice while it lasted!

Thanks again for the info/reminders folks.

time for me to disappear back to the BAEC board where I belong!

On a slightly different note, as an EBG, can I use the SK lounge when travelling on BA OSL-LHR in a few weeks?

What SAS lounge are you talking about? AFAIK there's no new lounge at OSL

You are correct unfortunately; however, fortunately, there's always the EBG/*G option of buying a refundable SK ticket and using that and the * status to use the lounge. Of course it may not be worth the hassle to everyone.

As it has now been a while - the lounge should have been open for about a month(?) has anyone been in it?

Does KL (I would assume so) have access to the lounge and where is it located? Anyone have any images or url? What is the offering? There is no info on the OSL website nor on the KLM website.

Help is much appreciated.

I've been there.
About a month ago - It was pretty nice... The view is only of construction now, but that will change.
Free beer (Ringnes) and wine, rolls etc. It wasn't in full operation back then.
Anyway, some nice news for FB members, they'll let FB Gold/Plat in when on CO flights.

Yes, if they let in DL and NW Platinums when flying CO in coach from there too.

I think it will work for KL/AF and OK members only on CO. The SkyTeam deal won't work on CO metal, rather only the OSL-serving airlines' programs that have themselves dealt with the OSL lounge (OK+,FB) (since they fly there) will offer these privileges - probably not deliberately though. That is how I understood it.

This could be interesting.

The way it used to be: a CO/DL/NW Plat flying AF/KL or OK out of OSL in coach would get access to this lounge but a CO/DL/NW/AF/KL Plat flying flying out on CO would not get access.

Now will it be that only AF/KL and OK Elite+ get access when flying CO but the others don't? And what about AZ's Elite+ flying out on SkyTeam carriers from OSL? They used to get access when flying on any SkyTeam carrier other than CO, but not anymore?

I think that airlines have the following options:
- buying access to their C passengers
- buying access for their elites flying on alliance airlines
- buying access for alliance elites when flying their metal.

CO's policy seems to be to buy access for their C passengers only. AF/KL seems to be to buy access to their C passengers, their elites flying skyteam, skyteam elites flying AF/KL. After, they might some internal billing processes, i don't know!
