Award error

I am looking at option to book some award on sk metal. The availability seems to be there, the award calendar shows low level 15000 points

The award is goh cph osl xxx where xxx is any airport in norway

When I simply search goh cph osl, it shows the flights and points after seeing 15000 low level in calendar view. When i do the same for goh xxx search where xxx is another airport in norway, it wont shows any option despite there are multiple dates with 15000 points

Osl xxx individually does show 5k options (that would connect to 15000 option for gph cph osl.)

Is it some type of bug or restriction on sas app?

The calendar view is not refreshed on each search. More like just a few times a day, if even more than once day..

It seems not likely when 1) it shows no result instead of result in higher number of points.

The search for goh cph osl
And osl xxx yield result. This is for many different dates and many different cities xxx

Married segment logic. Just because the two individual awards are available, it does not mean that the full routing is available.
In some cases also work the other way around, while a connecting routing is available each leg may not be individually available.

I have not yet encountered married segments on SK flights though neither for short-haul nor longhaul. As long as seats on each segment where available the CS was able to construct an itinerary and ticket it normally.

It was a constant pain on *A awards, and continues to be on ST awards.

If I call, I would need to pay even when the award is not bookable online?

No, but remind them that you couldn't make this booking online

Which number should I call? Any 1 800 number? Best time to call to avoid long wait?

To be fair, I can see why they would not want to add a 3rd leg on a 15,000 points redemption.

There are plenty of 3 legs 5000 redemption.
I m thinking maybe the overnight is causing trouble as the flight arrives cph at 9pm

Yeah, overnights usually do not work out in the online system. Only way is to call. If would try to push them to waive the phone service fee since it is their fault their booking engine is so crappy and you had to call. These would be the words I would use... maybe a bit less offensive

Call during European business hours the Swedish number. Those are, form my experience, the most helpful and empowered agents. Best time is between 10am and 12pm or 2pm to 4pm. Avoid European morning, lunchtime and after 4pm.

I have. Tried to book PVG-CPH-LHR in Business, PVG-CPH had availability in Business and CPH-LHR had availability in Plus, but it did not show up online. The phone agent explained that I class (business award class) needed to be available for the entire trip, including CPH-LHR for it to book in Business even though the CPH-LHR sector would be in the Plus cabin (and thus F class or whatever the Plus award class is).

That is not a married segment restriction. A married segment is trying to book PVG-CPH-LHR vs PVG-LHR. In this case the agent pulled the rule:
You can combine travel classes for your outbound and return flights (e.g. outbound in economy and return in business) but you can't combine booking classes in a single direction (e.g. CPH-AMS in economy and AMS-JFK in business).
Which has nothing do to with married segments. And acutally, on numberous occasions I had agents waving this restriction without even mentioning it. Clear case of HUCA.

Funny enough, on ST awards... they say:

You can combine travel classes for your outbound and return flights (e.g. outbound in economy and return in business) but you can't combine booking classes in a single direction (e.g. CPH-AMS in economy and AMS-JFK in business).
[...]

Our customer service team can help members add connecting flights (incl. flights in a different booking class) to existing partner award flights if the price of the original booking does not change (domestic or booking in same geographic zone) and if the booking is in the same or a lower booking class as the original booking.

I will try to call usa number first when i will be ready to book because it is free. Failing that i will figure out a way to call swedish number as Skype no longer work and i will have to find an alternate way to call.

My ideal route is somewhere in usa ewr goh using 12500 a3 miles
Goh cph osl alta using 15000 sk miles. Then
Doing a milk run flying most airports between alta to vds/kkn and back to alta
