Harsh and unnecessary, simply provide people the option to buy the correct ticket on the spot and it should be solved. Mistakes happen.
If they aren't carrying money on them that's another story and then they are intentionally breaking the rules. That's a whole different issue compared to someone having a wrong ticket.

On some trains you can buy the ticket on the spot. Those are the long distance trains (e.g. ICE and IC) but you cannot on the regional trains... same as with the regional trains in Sweden. Try boarding the Öresundstrain with a wrong ticket and get caught... 1000 SEK penalty, and get off at the next station.

He won in the end and did not had to pay the penalty and ticket again but still his credit rating with that agency is ruined since the court cannot force them to change their credit scoring mechanism and data collection. They cannot even force the scoring agencies to disclose what information they collect and how they combine it to a score. It is ridiculous...

SAS Youth Fares [FAQ & Discussions]
Hi SAS'ers. Have been lately flying a lot with the youth fares (yes I'm lucky 
) , booking leg by leg. (takes a lot of time as my dates are usually flexible and I'm flying mostly AMS to EU destination). It seems to me that SAS page allows only to search youth flights only when the origin or destination is one of the SK 3 hubs.
Does someone have the full fare rules? (VZZAPGHT for example).
Also can someone recommend an online tool where it would be easier to search the fares? Would be even better if I would be able to book them on a single ticket.
Love the fares though, super cheap (just booked ams-cph-agp 45+65€ for next week), + earning almost MR worth miles at 500minimum/100% on TK. ^

I doubt you can do much with the SK website. It does not offer much for the regular fares. Standard advice here is to try wideroe's website (not sure if they expose youth fare search). I dont't think that matrix.itasoftware.com allows searching by fare.

The youth fares are amazing huh, found out about them recently and just booked my first flights (DUB-OSL-CPH-AMS, two separate tickets). I noticed this thread where someone mentions that you can book them as one ticket by calling SAS: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/sas-e...th-ticket.html. I'll try tomorrow for my flights, I can still cancel them so if they can book them on one ticket I'll do that. Also, do you know if all *G benefits apply to the youth tickets?

The lounge and fast track have worked as usual, nothing special with them. Also the +1 luggage SHOULD (according to online info) work, going to give it a go on friday and sunday, lets see how smooth it's going to go. (LH i.e. Usually doesn't honour the +1 in eco light)

Thanks, sounds good. On regular Go Light tickets I was able to check 1 bag for free, so I'm assuming this to be the same for youth Go Light. On another note, I tried booking two separate tickets over the phone on one ticket, after the first agent said it was not possible I hung up and called again but the other agent also said it could not be done.

I'm having a bit of a hard time understanding if these fare rules can booked with connecting youth fares. ex. TLL-ARN-HKG-ARN-TLL which can be booked separately. We have been tracking award tickets to ORD for a few months...only to see July and the first half of Aug blacked out in all classes. We started tracking youth tickets this week and suddenly two seats showed up, so we opened a bottle of wine to celebrate banishing the kids for 4 weeks to my parents. Due to SAS's crappy website, we needed to open up another bottle before we could finally book the tickets
. Despite the pain, we are quite happy now but SAS really tries hard to not sell tickets.I would recommend to call and save the effort.
