Looking to join
I am going to be flying MEL-SIN-MNL return in C/J monthly. Am looking to fly SQ and thus for a *A FF program.
Having compared Trukish, Aegean, Asiana and SAS programs, it seems the others will get me to *G somewhat quicker, but in terms of earning/burning Eurobonus seems best with C/J on SQ earning 200% flown miles and their award chart being either the same or lower for comparable trips then the others. Am I wrong? Am I missing something?

You should also take into account what kind of awards you are looking to use your miles for. E.g., starting from next year it will only be possible to redeem F awards on LH if you are *G (SEN or HON) with M&M, and I believe SQ suites are only available for SQ KrisFlyer members. In general, availability for premium cabin awards is often better for members of the airlines' own FFPs.

Starting January 1, 2014, SWISS will exclude general M&M members as well as frequent travelers from redeeming first class awards. Can we expect a similar step for flights with Lufthansa?
The decision to only offer first class award tickets on SWISS to Senators and HON Circle members was internal to SWISS. This decision, just like, for example, the different treatment of upgrade redemptions, lies within the individual scope of each fully integrated airline in the M&M program.
At this point of time Lufthansa does not intend to follow SWISS with these measures.

To make it more clear:
If you take an Award on a SAS flight you won't pay fuel surcharges. That makes it in my opinion very attractive as I get two or three trips a year to US or Asia for 50€ per person.
Also some other carriers seems to be working without fuel surcharges, had it on UA recently for FRA -> SFO booked through EuroBonus. But there are mixed stories about that around, some had to pay fuel surcharges, some didn't. I remeber another topic where AC flights in Canada/US were free of additional charges.
Most of the other *A programs I know have fuel surcharges on all flights.

Most airline will show it as a breakdown of taxes and fees, but you can also use this search engine:
