What to do on layover?
I've got a 7-8 hour layover at SFO coming up next month. I've never been to SFO so I am looking for ideas on what I could do in the few hours I have while I am there. Any ideas would be great!

For starters, depending on the time of day, you should take Bart into the City and get a great meal.

depends -
are you flying international or domestic? Luggage checked through? etc - that will determine SOME of your choices.
what would you LIKE to do >? Eat, see sights?

there are many choices for sights and food -
One of my favorite trips is (BART to downtown,) then the F train , the old vintage streetcars around to fisherman;s wharf. While I don't like the wharf it's a nice ride on a nice day.
A lot of tourists like just waking around Chinatown or North beach - the Asian and Italian sections of the city Depending on whether you'd like to see outdoor sites or more city life, either of these areas could be fun.
A longer bus ride to another Asian part of town would be BART to downtown and then the #2 or # 38 bus to clement st and the Richmond District - lots of appealing Asian hole in the wall type places (Burma Superstar is a favorite)
GG Park? The Marina? What are your likes as far as sights?
