AA vs Delta at SFO
I’m relocating to San Francisco in June after living in Australia for the last few years. My flight back to the US will get me Gold status on AA. However, I currently have silver Status on Delta. I am half way to renewing my status on Delta. For the rest of the year, I have 4.5 cross country trips that I need to schedule. I can’t choose my carrier on the flight from Australia.
My question is, should I go all in on AA? Or should I try to keep my silver status on Delta? I realize United is the dominant carrier out of SFO. Is it possible to get status on United before the end of the year?

Both aa and DL have nice routes out of sfo - maybe aa is better. The AA terminal is nicer than DL because the DL terminal is under renovation.

Delta lounge at SFO is one of the best I've ever visited. Lots of space and natural light galore with expansive views of the gates and runways. Food isn't great, but good enough.

I regularly fly out of SFO and have used all 3. For safety, I've switched all my travel to Delta during the pandemic, but otherwise was on AA. The lounges and connections are better for me on DL, so I may stick with DL, but I have status with AA. United seems a bit barebones to me compared to the other two.

Yes, but it's pretty worthless IMO.
As others have noted DL has a great lounge. AA has a better t-con product (assuming you're flying to JFK). Overall, DL is a much better airline. Making either work as primary carrier from SFO can be a challenge, though AA's link-up with AS and B6 gives it an advantage on that front.
