AA to CX connection

Flying DFW-SFO and then SFO-HKG on Monday... I think I know the answer to this question but I'll ask it anyway... do we need to go through security again in SFO to get to the international gates or are there any ways to avoid this?

Since that answer isn't clear which part of the compound question you are answering ...

There is no airside transit from AA to CX. It is less than a 10 minute walk from AA T-2 through T-1 to the Int'l Terminal (CX is on the A-side).
