3 hours in SFO
Hope I am posting this on the correct thread.
I have a three hour layover in SFO on a tuesday afternoon. Flying on AA. Not an AC member.
Do you have any good restaurants suggestions (no fish, please)?
Is there a place to purchase Boudin sourdough bread or other local speciality items?
Thanks for your help.

There's a Boudin inside SFO (F gates). They sell food as well as bread.

Get yourself over to the Int. Terminal or 2. There's a bunch of good restaurants both places. Here's a link:http://www.flysfo.com/web/page/atsfo...e/dine/t1.html

T2 where AA now is - it is one of the nicest terminals in the USA. It isn't very large but there are several nice stores, very decent dining, and a store (Napa-something) that will have local breads - I think Acme is available for sale there. Free wi-fi, ample tables to plug into, and so many nice dining options. You'll want to walk around before you decide where to eventually eat.

Isn't there an air-side connection from T2 to T3? (Maps make it look like there is, but I haven't tested it personally yet.) If so, pax can walk through T3 to the air-side connection to Concourse G in the international terminal. Personally I don't feel there's anything there that's worth walking so far, though. I think all the same options, except the duty-free shops, are available in T2 and T3.

The Aviation Museum is a nice pitstop. The upstairs part of the museum is a library on all things relating to aviation history. The museum is on the departure level, I think on the G side (United, Lufthansa, Air China). There's also the "reflection room", a quiet, plant-filled sanctuary where all must turn off their cell phones. I believe it's on the A side(Delta, KLM, Korean Air). Both are worth checking out if you have time to kill. I can't recommend anything foodwise--It's all good but expensive.
