AirMilesMart.com

It's been awhile since I've used this portal but I have 375 points and I wanted to reach 500 so that I could transfer them to SPG. I've had problems in the past in getting my points, I always had to chase them down. I thought things might have changed but...

Two weeks ago I made a hotels.com reservation and sure enough... still no points Sent an inquiry and have not heard back.

Anyone else have problems with this site?

Have to email them about to get credit about 50% of the time. They never email back, but the points usually post a couple of days later...

Have you completed the stay yet? Hotels.com typically takes over a month from when the stay is complete to pass on the details (and payment) to affiliates and I would imagine AirMilesMart.com is the same.

I don't see that term anywhere. It says once purchase is made credit should applt within 10 days. My room rate is pre-paid and non-refundable.

Just going on what the standard hotels.com affiliate agreement is - I have no special knowledge of AirMilesMarts specific agreement. It is standard that all travel sites only pay affiliates after completed travel (similar to the way airlines won't give you frequent flyer miles on a ticket you don't fly on that is non-refundable).

I never have problem with this site, but I only book DL through them. And they posted the points immediately after my flights.

I frequently use airmilesmart for Hotels.com reservations. They post but it usually take 6 to 8 weeks.

I have never used this forum before and I'm not getting how to use this portal.

I've never used airmilesmart.com, but the program seems pretty weak to me

The airline shopping portals don't cover all of the partners that airmilesmart has. So you can sometimes pick up extra Starpoints there.

Very true. I have included airmilesmart in my sites (rewardsdb) comparison tables for a long time - it's the only way of earning starpoints by shopping other than earning a chunk through an airline and then converting. It is also often the only way to earn Delta or US Airways miles for shopping at various partners.

Off the top of my head - TACA, Fujitsu, Performance Bike, Shop4tech.com and quite a few others are partners with AirMilesMart but not with the Delta or US Airways main shopping sites.

You do need to be careful though in making sure that you are getting the best offer available. Delta has 5 different malls that offer skymiles, US airways has 2 (and both can be earned indirectly via GiftCertificates.com and Sky Mall as well) so you need to check the offers for the specific merchant on a site like mine since the 'best' offer is not always from the same mall.

Airmilesmart is not my primary shopping portal, but it is very useful for Starpoints. Purchases do not always post automatically so keep records, but customer service is quick and responsive there.
