I have gotten the roo points without having to sign in each time. Just type roo, then one cap code, then roo, cap code, up to 5 caps or day. Will let you know when you've hit the Max.

Just a reminder that ROO bonus ends tomorrow

I thought ROO expires the 28th

My Coke Reward Points [Master Thread]

Oh, right. Guess I can't read. Thanks for the heads up

OzzyOzzie Feb 25, 2013 8:38 pm

Entered my last 5 today. I only found one jogging today, a minute maid black cap that somehow I mistakenly said was a coke zero (which got my 4th point in the enjoy more madness deal that I redeemed it for a 20 oz coupon).

On a lark I peeked in a recycle bin of a family that has a few kids and what do I see? One powerade, 2 diet coke and a "regular" coke bottle. 4 caps to let me get my 5 ROO in for the day, and not costing me one cent.

Going to miss ROO, 3+ week doubling promotions do not come along that often :(

PS - love reading Facebook posts about people still hoarding diet coke caps waiting for the Valentine's Day double promo to repeat itself. All they had to do is ROO :D

Atlanta Journal Constitution: Mom-daughter duo caught in Coke contest scam

Some interesting news out of Coke's HQs:

Atlanta Journal Constitution:
Mom-daughter duo caught in Coke contest scam

11:11 am February 26, 201

A short quote:
A mother-daughter team who managed to manipulate a Coca-Cola bottle cap contest and steal more than $200,000 now must repay thousands of dollars to the Atlanta-based company, though not as much as they stole.

"Steal" more than $200,000 and only have to pay back $50,000,...and no jail time? Sounds like they ended up winning anyway.

Wait until the government gets hold of them, unless they paid taxes on the stuff they "won"

I wonder if they used one of them *alleged* MCR generating programs people are selling?

My guess is that $200k is the retail value of what they stole and $50k is how much they cashed it in for.

Serves Coke right for getting ripped off when the Wednesday deal is 45% off of Good Housekeeping magazine.

Really? Good Housekeeping? Does that even exist anymore?

Actually, GH has a circulation of 4.3 million monthly, the seventh highest of any US consumer magazine. http://www.auditedmedia.com/news/blo...rculation.aspx I would guess that for a lot of people, this weekly deal might be a popular choice.

Look, I couldn't care less about a GH subscription, and I'm really getting tired of waiting for the PC awards to return. But saying Coke deserved to get ripped off for $200K because their weekly deal isn't to your liking is a bit harsh, don't you think? I've benefitted tremendously from this promotion, as have many others on this board, and I'd hate to see it shut down due to fraud and abuse.

I presume but the article doesn't state it clearly that the two used identity theft for the prizes

I say this b/c if it wasn't identity theft, where is the crime. Breaking rules on a game by coke really is not a crime

they were stupid in that they used the same IP address which I presume was their home IP address

Actually, it does... "A local detective said the two women created email addresses using other people’s identities ... Both daughter and mother, who also pleaded guilty to identity theft ..."

Well, most of us did it at some point. We just were never able to get even near what they got. And that's the reason why MCR got suspicious.

Actually they are 6th on that list -- really 4th, considering no one WANTS the AARP magazines.

And I was kidding about them deserving the ripoff. But I was not kidding that the Wednesday deals have been dreckish lately.

Now please don't get angry that I dissed the AARP magazines, ok?

I was a little disgusted by your comment as well. We all know the Modern Bride magazine Weds deal was a much better reason for such behavior :p
