Got mine on the way - thanks.

Free coke zero is now dead, showing up as unavailable.

Brendan Jul 3, 2008 9:43 am

Yes!

I got the same message yesterday. BTW, I entered 10 Fridge Packs on June 26, then called to request the 100 bonus points, which she gave me immediately :) !
My buddy ;) deposited 10 very early AM on the 25th--no problem--while 5 more waited till the 26th because of the PM problems. We decided not to call because it may not be wise to explain to the rep. the noon-to-noon day rule to the rep. if s/he doesn't already know it!

As they always do, they will restock the good ones eventually. Have some patience.

I hope so. I'm sitting on over 3000 MCR points and not a lot to choose from at this point.

I must say I'm a little concerned about the program as a whole. I was looking at the plastic recycle bin at work and noticed a lot more 20 oz coke bottles without code lids. Just regular ones. I was seeing one now and then but they are getting more prevalent. Possible sign that Coke is trying to wind down the program?

2009

While on the phone with the My Coke Rewards rep, she told me the "exciting" news that the program was being extended till the end of 2009.

In that there is almost nothing of real value to redeem, I found the news less than exciting.

To re-stock is great; however, will limits be deleted or at least reduced???? Three each for the 500 and 2000 HolidayInn points is a JOKE!

vickiburton Jul 4, 2008 6:18 am

I'm happy to hear from a previous poster that the program has been extended through the end of 2009. Last double points day, the 25th, I believe, I had to call in with an unreadable code and I was told the program had been extended through January, 2009. I, too, am waiting for them to add something of value in the travel section. So far, since the inception of the program, I have used my points exclusively for travel related items. I was able to get a 5K Hilton deal before it went bye-bye and have used all the rest for Delta SkyMiles. I don't need a plush teddy bear or game pieces! I need travel!

I did receive that and was rather disappointed.

Just received an email with a link to enter 8 codes from 20 ounce products for a free 20 ouncer, but it is really an opportunity to redeem 24 points for a free 20 ounce soda. :(

You wouldn't think it was a joke if that's what allowed you to get one, instead of everyone snapping them all up on the first day they're released. The limits allow the rewards to go around more, rather than letting a small population grab them all.

I wouldn't mind the limits being lifted, but I understand their purpose and I don't feel they are a "joke" in any way.

Its a frickin joke plain and simple and anything otherwise regarding this complete BS

If someone has saved their points by putting in the ten allotments a day then they have earned the right to redeem with whatever rewards are out there.

If you don't have the right amount of points on the day they become avail too bad. I've been burned but so be it, otoh, if I have them so be it for others

All this does is make it so you just have to find other ways to beat the mcr system which isn't too difficult

Well, with an argument as well-supported as that, and so articulately stated, how can anyone disagree?

So all those vending machine stockers who can input 100 points per day should be allowed to snap up each and every reward, even though they don't actually spend any of their own money on Coke (because they're reselling all of it at a profit), and it's OK that those people who actually do buy the products themselves don't get anything?

(I guess you're also one who believes that it's OK for people to pay other people to stand in line for them for (e.g.) tickets or first releases of popular electronics... if they have enough money to pay someone to stand in line, they've earned the right have to wait like everyone else, right? :p)

Even if you agree that this is fine, it's quite clear that Coke doesn't, and would like to give everyone the opportunity to feel like they are benefiting from the program (or, rather, to keep certain people from monopolizing all the "good" rewards, thereby making many other people feel like the program is worthless). And it's their program. Don't like it? Don't participate. If you feel like cheating, good for you, just don't complain here if and when it fails.

Just a heads up, the free Coke Zero coupon offer is up again. Get it by searching "zero" without the quotes on mycokerewards.
