My point balance has also been climbing as I wait for some decent rewards to come up on the site. So I might end up getting Coke products just to use up points, but per the fine print the 12-pack coupon is not good for Minute Maid products.

Does anyone know what the expiration date is for the AMC movie tickets and free popcorn rewards?

All I hear is:

Coke is unhappy people sell the codes
Sponsors are unhappy that people sell the products
Users are unhappy that coke doesn't have good rewards

SHEZ!

If the users buy the products they should be able to do anything they want with them, within reason of course. Reselling a product is what the retailer did with the coke product, seems pretty ironic tha coke is unhappy about that.

Same thing for the sponsors....

And for the users, well, I have to throw in that I missed the pizza by a day or two...or at least a 2nd redemption of it. Free pizza tasted good, now I have to find a way to use my account with 250 points.

I can see both sides. I believe Coke intended the program to be a true rewards program for loyal Coke buyers and consumers. The prizes were set up to be a real challenge but obtainable over time. They underestimated people's ability to gather massive amounts of points in shorter periods of time, thus redeeming prizes at a higher rate and quantity than expected.

On the other hand, Coke should have been able to foresee these possibilities and accounted for them. It was cool when they had DS and Playstation systems and family vacations. Now its getting to be slim pickins'...

I should have added that when I spoke to marketing management in ATL
I did register my dissatisfaction concerning both the elimination of DL skymiles redemption codes as a reward as well as limitations placed on
Priority Club points.

7500 points won't get you a free nite even at Holiday Inn Express

(minimum of 10,000 (hard to find) -- even 15,000; most locations take
25,000 points per night) -- Higher level hotels MORE points...
so that's a dead-end for a reward too.

What's left? Not much. Sweepstakes? does your points entered electronically really get entered for a chance to win? good question, huh?
I NEVER had a win after entered HUNDREDS of NMCR points...

I have given HUNDREDS of other MCR points to USMC's Toys for Tots at Christmas ...

decent prizes left right now: 12 pack coke = 100
Blockbuster Night = 200
Sandwich Maker = 975
Portable DVD player = 3,500
$100 Adias = 5,000
19" HD TV = 15,000

Your IP addess is assigned by your Internet Service Provider. If you use the same laptop in different cities around the world, your IP address will change each time you travel to another city. I have been blocked from using Amazon Unbox and Movielink when I traveled to a foreign country because I had a foreign IP address. Once back in the US, those services were again working on the same laptop.

Told him so but he didn't listen. Now he's whining
Many thanks for the update. Does anyone expect another year of roll over?? With the loss of MCR prizes and the loss of brands from MCR carrying points, it doesn't seem likely????

Was in NY over the weekend and got a coke with a 10 point code. I am wondering if that's where they'll be this year, since they went from 15 to 12. Opens it up to more number combos. Also it had an E in it, which is a new character.

Not that I care anymore since the program is basically worthless, but I refelxively text the codes in if I get them even through I'm not actuvely collecting them.

I think the ticket can be anywhere in the US, Can, Carrib, Mexico. I didn't read the details, but assuming the award is worth 30,000 miles, you are getting 2.5 miles per MCR point.

I am too busy to read this entire thread, but would someone "in the know" be kind enough to post the entire history of Delta redemption values in terms of "miles per MCR point". In other words, if the original redemption rate years ago was 1000 MCR points for 5000 Delta miles, that would be 5 miles per MCR point. I know they have devalued with each subsequent reward offer, but I want to see how much and if this is continuing. Thanks in advance.

And me with only 3348 points. Drat. Of course, the miles were better because the ticket is limited for travel within one year from now (more or less).

Well, shoot! I guess its not a big loss. I'm not going to get 12000 MCR points anyway. I'm cutting back on my caffeine.

Newbie question: What are CokeRewards points worth?

Our office goes through probably six 24-pack boxes of Coke products per week.
Nobody is using the codes.

I am trying to decide whether I should bother to collect them. What can I get? What are they worth?

Sorry for not reading all 2,000 posts in this thread prior to posting this inquiry.

You can get any of the stuff at mycokerewards.com ... the choices change with time, but they include things like electronics, gift cards, music downloads, various knick-knacks, shirts, tickets to movies, etc. The points are worth whatever the cash equivalent of your prize is, which varies depending on the prize(s) you choose. For most gift cards, for example, the cash equivalent is 4 cents per point.

If the codes aren't useful for you, you're welcome to send them to me... As a graduate student, I need all the prizes I can get!

Their value, like FF miles, is really dependent upon your personal preferences, ability to convert them to cash equivilent, etc. I will share my perspective, in an attempt to help:

The cost of earning the points is that you must acquire them (which, for you, sounds like it is free - aside from the time to actually gather them). You also must take the time to enter them into your account, which is limited to 10 per day. It is fairly time consuming if you are using 3-pointers, but more efficient using codes from bigger packs. You are limited to 10 codes per day, which can add to the time spent if you are desiring to enter many at a time. You can try getting multiple accounts, but the rules disallow it, and you could face being banned and losing all points if caught. There are ways around it, but you need to be clever.

The value of the points is rather minimal (less than 1 cent per point in most cases) when redeeming them for a huge variety of goods, services, etc. Go to www.mycokerewards.com and look around to see what you can redeem them for. Redeeming for Delta miles used to be the most appealing option for me, as I value my miles at 2 CPM and I used to be able to get several miles per MCR point... in other words, each coke point was worth several cents to me. Now, they have devalued (and until recently, removed) the Delta options, leaving my next best as Priority Club points (hotel chain), which I value at about 1 CPM. Do some calculations and see if it is worth your time. I hope that helps.

Anyone able to take a stab at helping me out with my previous request for a short history of the Miles/MCR Point ratio?

Thanks.
