Anyone else get the email about surveys?

Dear ShopAround,

We've recently added surveys as a new and free way to earn e-Miles® miles!

Click on the "continue" button below to be redirected to your main home page. Access to the surveys will be in the top left corner.

I clicked through and surprise, surprise, there's nothing there. Just the same bullsh#t: You have completed all of your earning opportunities.

There's nothing anywhere on the home page about surveys. I'm thinking I've had enough of this, time to close my account.

Same here. You'd think, in a normally well run company, there would be surveys there when they tell you to look for them. But then again I guess I answered my own question....

I got the email too, but also didn't find any surveys. Maybe they'll show up at some point, but the other question is, how valuable will they be/how many miles will they actually give you?

Same for me. Got the email saying there were surveys, but found no surveys. Seems to be par for the course for this company ...tls

The link is there now. I don't think it works on mobile devices. The rate I am going, I will earn more points on these few surveys than I did all year with this program.

Hopefully on par with opinion mile club, 50 miles + per survey ..

I won't turn away another option to earn miles, especially ones that help me top up my E-miles account

I logged in and found the survey link. It's in the upper left of the home page. First, you have to fill out a relatively easy profile survey. Then, it presented me with a list of about 10 surveys with estimated completion time and miles. Most are in the 10 - 25 miles per survey range with estimated completion times ranging from 3 - 30 minutes.

It appears as though you have to clear a two-step screening process to qualify. First, a single-question screens out the obvious rejects. [One question was "Do you serve {a certain brand of liquor} in your house?". I clicked "no" and that was that. No miles awarded, but this part takes about 2 seconds.]

If you pass the first screen, the survey opens in a new window and you pass a more typical E-Rewards style screen. It appears you get 5 miles if you get rejected at this point.

I tried 3 or 4 until I qualified for a 16 minute survey with a reward of (I think) 19 miles. It definitely took the full 16 minutes, since it required me to watch four television commercials and evauluate them. OF NOTE: This survey company has figured out how to pause the video if you click to a different tab OR minimize the browser while the video is playing. This means no checking your email, etc, while the video is playing, unless you use a different device altogether. [I was using my laptop for this, FWIW.]

After I complete the survey, I did not receive miles. The fine print says it takes 2-3 days for miles to post. So good luck keeping track of whether or not you get the miles you deserve. I'm not going to fill out any more until I see whether I got the miles for this survey.

Bottom line: The jury is still out. If the tech side of this works (i.e. you get the miles you're supposed to) it will definitely be a good way to boost your e-miles earnings. But it's no cash cow, either.

Hmm, still nothing for me. Maybe over the weekend it'll show up. tls

Of all the survey companies out there, they had to go with Peanut Labs? Who was pretty decent a few years back but has cut what they pay their end users by about 75% since then. Wish they could use the same survey router they use for e-Rewards mobile since I have good luck with that one, but they probably don't want too much overlap between the two programs.

I cancelled this waste of time. E rewards is 10000% time better.

I needed 140 points to the next level so I managed to get enough survey points between the screened out fivers and a couple successful surveys. I just hope they post to my account so I can redeem them and close this account.

Up to four emails in a row now inviting me to earn miles and when I click through I get the message that I have already done all my opportunities.

And no surveys in the "upper left corner" despite the email saying there would be such

Such a crackerjack outfit.

Hairbus380 Oct 17, 2015 1:13 pm

Surveys work fine for me, but no points have posted. Works fine on android OS. I tried two, dq'd for one and got 5 miles, another took 3 minutes and gave me 21 miles.

To me, this is only a worthwhile use of my time when I am in the restroom, assuming the miles post.

They should rename it milesforpooping.com.

blueeagle3 Oct 17, 2015 1:42 pm

I tried these surveys - but not a single one did work! was screened out in each and every one of them...So lets hope for the 5 Points!!

bj2757 Oct 17, 2015 2:00 pm

I didn't qual on several and got 5 miles for each (x6), completed one for 70 and a couple for 20+. We'll see if they post in a few days...
