I just redeemed $25 for 500 bonus miles at NWA worldperks even though the the $25 and $50 rewards were listed as "out of stock". So, if you have dollars and want to redeem, go for it.Dave

how many nwa miles do u have? anywhere close to award travel?
my husband and I both have about 7000 miles, no where close to award travel at 25000 and I dont want any more miles in small quanitites, as I am worried about their bankruptcy. It will take me a long time to get 25000 miles, a few years by which time I suspect they wouldnt be around. Thats why I am trying to decide if I should go for AA miles instead(ofcourse I have zero AA miles to begin with..never flew AA)
I dont like magazines with miles but what r u going to do with any miles less than those needed for award travel?
Thanks

If you are expecting it to take you "a few years" I wouldn't consider an airline FF program at all. Switching to AA would take you even longer. I expect you don't do a lot of flying, and this is how you garner enough miles for a free trip. For example, a trip to Singapore is almost enough for a free ticket. You must also consider that award tickets are not always available for the dates you want to fly. Your best bet would perhaps be a free hotel stay.

missterious9,
Northwest isn't going away anytime soon. They were forced into bankruptcy by high fuel prices and the odds are well in favor of the airline that they will be around in five years. If you don't want magazines, try using them for upgrades to first class. They go for as low as 5,000 miles if you buy a full-fare ticket and 15,000 if you don't. You can get enough miles quicker than you think. Remember, you can earn 1,000 bonus miles for subscribing to their newsletter for two months. There are plenty of ways to get there.

Hint: If you are asked to participate in a health survey, check every box from atheletes foot to pregnant, even if you are a man.
These seem to pay the most and are more frequent.Dave

suprisingly, many of the easy $1.00/$2.00 sign ups are infact easy...
ie: fed ex, the photo one, etc... just giving your name, email, address etc.
expecting loads of spam now..but regardless, easy $$ plus the MONEY SHOWS IMMIDIATELY
