Okay, so there may be a way to get a Free iPod Mini - a 4GB iPod. I'm not sure the legitimacy of this, but I'd like to give it a chance - I'll need 5 people's help & each of those 5 people will need 5 other people's help to get this.

If I refer 5 people who participate in the offer, then I get a free iPod. Then if those 5 people get 5 people each to participate in an offer, they each get a free iPod & so on...the offers range from anything to joining Ancestry.com to getting the Hilton HHonors Amex with No Annual fee. The best one, IMHO, is the Ancestry.com because your credits get credited immediately & you can do a free 2 week cancel-able membership there (although a CC is required & you'd have to remember to cancel it on your own).

As far as I can tell, it seems fairly legitimate. Please post here if you have completed an offer from my referal & if you are completeing an offer from my referral, once a total of 5 people have posted that they have completed it, please post yours & once 5 people have completed, have them post theirs.

The only way this can effectively work is if everyone who is interested in this offer, legitimately does it in order. I'm interested & I've posted my referal link. Once 5 people have posted that they have completed it - Person 1, P2, P3, P4, P5 - the next 5 persons interested should use P1 & then the next 5 use P2 and so on - I realize that this requires an exponential increase for people to get their free iPods, but at the same time, I think it'll work out if some people use their friends & family members (I'll ask my roommates and post if they do it, but their both still asleep even though it's 2 in the afternoon!)

Just a friendly heads up. I have my link in my signature. I get a lot of people to sign up but nobody has completed an offer. So the signature line isn't very effective. Hopefully this link will help more. It will especially if you guys who've finished post that you got your ipods.

Also, does anyone know which colors are the "easiest" to get? I know the wait for a pink one is way long, but I'm not sure about the rest of them. BTW, I also heard that Apple was getting a lot of crap about the pink ones because the metal and the paint didn't react right and all the pink ones look more purple. Don't they test these things out? =)

Question: I just had someone who signed up under my referral tell me that they decided to NOT follow up and sign up for an offer. Does that mean I cannot get this offer now? I only see room on the referral form for 5 people... if one does not finish, can they get replaced?

Might I suggest that people read the Terms and Conditions of the offer before signing up?

I have had a few sign up and when I email to thank them am told that they decided not to complete the offer.

As was indicated by the original poster, the ancestery.com signup is the most painless and free way to meet the requirements.

I did that... and called the 800 number the next day and cancelled with no problem.

I just wanted to echo William...

For those of you who used my link, don't forget to cancel your account with Ancestry.com before the 2 week period if thats the method you used - for those of you who are still curious & thinking about joining up - do it - it's legit - I cancelled my Ancestry.com account easily (after playing around with it first though!) - my roommate cancelled his 20 minutes after he signed up - no problems whatsoever - it's the fastest, and more importantly the cheapest way (as it doesn't cost a penny!) for you to qualify for your activity which will lead you onto your way to get a free iPod - don't forget to ask your friends, roommates (with different mailing addresses, of course - mine used his parents house), or co-workers involved.

Also, please make sure you follow the order of whose link you used to sign up with - just trying to be fair to all.
