Goldpoints update?

I am considering purchasing a ring via the Goldpoints site at around 5K, but I am quite scared about doing this. I am well versed in the specifics and grading of rings, but I really want to make sure that I get my GP for this purchase, 5000 * 40 is around 200,000 so quite a lot back.
Does anyone have any suggestions

It's been 3 months and 2 days since I changed my email address at http://www.goldpoints.com . I "updated" My Account this morning and 500 additional Goldpoints instantly appeared in my account.

I have 0 points in GP since I claimed Delta Skymiles. I went to the site and clicked on "my account" and there was no link for 500 points. So, I changed some info in the profile and still no points. I am assuming that one must have some activity to receive the 500 bonus points.
