Goldpoints update?

I am due to make my 500 update for Goldpoints. I looked all over site and cannot find information on it. Has it been killed?

Click "My Account" at top of page, sign in & you'll see "earn 500 points for your email address". They've changed the layout of the page looks like.

The bonus is still available.

Click on "My Account" and log-in. The next page will show you the "Earn 500 Bonus Points With Your Email Address" banner.

Sheesh! I can't believe nobody answered this for over an hour, and then someone beat me by 30 seconds!

A once-great program that has been moribund for a year or so.

It's the affinity program for Radisson Hotels and TGI Friday's, and was an outstanding shopping portal at one point.

Then all the partners disappeared and they cut the points --> miles conversion rate in half.

So we don't talk about it much anymore.

But it was the site that generated much wonderful time here on Flyertalk.

See, for example, goldpoints - fly the concorde for $1111

I was able to see my new balance immediately after clicking the OK box.

How often can you do this?

Once every three months.

I do not know whether that's defined as
*same day, three months hence
*90 days
*same day, later time, three months hence
*etc

Every 90 days.

Now that Goldpoints can be redeemed in Europe, my interest has been rekindled:

Exactly. And since your online statement shows the last 90 days of activity, it's really simple: If you don't have a 500 point bonus on your online statement, you can get a new one.

The Goldpoints card is still a good value for one thing: I've got enough points for free entrées (aka appetizers in yank-speak) for life at TGIF.

Despite the reputation the Goldpoints acquired over the last year or so its still the best of the remaining shopping sites (whats left? = mypoints) and at 8 points/mile I have got a few thousand miles for every day items I would normally woul have bought.

Few weeks ago I wanted to get 4 pairs of black jeans for work, got GAP gift certs
20 points/$, bought some travel and other books at Barnes & Noble 25 points/$, ordered some printer and stationary supplies from Staples.com and before I knew it I had spent about $700 = about 3000 miles not counting the miles I got from my CC.
Points posted with a week and was swept and posted in my AA account within another week.

Has anyone who hasn't had a Radisson hotel stay in the last year received the 1 mile per 8 Goldpoints instead of 1 mile per 10 Goldpoints?

MIKESILV Mar 25, 2003 6:36 am

All my exchanges so far since the change of the redemption ratio has been 8 points/mile
the most recent being two weeks ago.
Note I have never stayed at a Radisson hotel.
