I finally made it work. You must go through to the end of the order and then click GC again. I returned to the beginning to soon. Thanks for your help.

did anyone ever figure out whether the once per month is based on a rolling 30-day period or the calendar month (i.e. i could do this again on the 1st of april)?

If you are sending or receiving a lot of the $1 gift certs be sure and wait for the 30 days (or monthly if we find out which applies) to spend the certs. That way you will get another 800 points for a purchase without having to send yourself another $1 GC.

(Edit for spelling)

I just love FT! I placed 5 $1 gift cert orders last night, and the 4K pts posted this AM.

Thanks again for the tip.

I second that! I'm also starting to really like some of the other features (ie "travel tips") after exploring some of the stuff in the left-hand column from the home page.

I also got some errant points (2, then 4) in pending after doign a few of the Tupperware transactions for something like 4K points.

Man, I'm going to raise hell if they don't give me those 6 points!

Don't worry! Those 2 pointers do eventually post. They have for me. I was sure losing sleep worrying about whether I would get them.

I just did my first Tupperware for April. Quicklist by Merchant page, large banner on the right (267924). Got the 800 points popup. Let's see if they lock my account up. (By the way, the discount is 10% now)

The Tupperware offers all seemed to have dissapeared, save this one.

Thanks for the reminder -- another 800 points for $1. So far I have collected just over 8000 points for less than $10.

Just curious Paul, where do you see the award number 267294? I would like to keep track of the awards I earn so as not to duplicate purchases.

Thanks

It's part of the link address for the ad. All of the previous ads had a unique 6-digit number in their link address. You can refer to TheWaitress' post in this thread

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum...ML/002194.html

for the old numbers, but those ads don't show up anymore. Just the one in Quick List, as far as I can tell.

The code for this banner is 267924, not 267294, however, it now explicitly states "Offer excludes eGift Certificates"

(or does that exclusion just refer to the 10% discount???)

PaulMSN: did you get the popup after buying a $1 gift certificate?

I believe that, as before, the exclusion refers to the 10% discount. I did the $1 GC and got the 800 points popup. Whether they'll turn me off, I don't know, but they didn't when I got 6 800-pointers in one day, so I'm hopeful.

This is where the confusion came from. THEY give you 800 points for buying a 1.00 GC, but the member agreement says you don't qualify for points. Clearly a problem at THEIR end. Certainly not against the law to buy a certificate, but you risk getting locked out because they don't need a reason to cancel your account. Good Luck!

I would only link from the mypoints website. I know of one number that changed since The Waitress' list, the homepage rightside banner was a different number last week. Also, when I got the popup window after linking thru the 1st email, it said 'good once every 7 days'. So I tried 7 days later (I don't know about the time) and it said 'sorry, good only once every 365 days.' Anyone else had that happen? If I did it on a Monday do I need to wait untill the next Tuesday?
