Important Notice for E-Rewards

I got an email from them this afternoon with this title but it would not open up. Did anyone else get it and what was the importand notice? I have about one hundred dollars there and would hate to lose it.

I couldn't read it either in my AOL anywhere. I opened it from regular AOL, and it's a link to a holiday greeting.

It also said that they have some new things coming for us in 2003.

Your $100 is safe, for now .

It's an animated Christmas greeting. No erewards info other than holiday wishes.

I couldn't read it either, but it at least sounds like it isn't very important - even though the subject line said "Important note from erewards".

Just in case you are not aware you must use this years points no later than Mar 31 or they will be lost. You can add whatever you accumulate up to Mar. 31

They say that every year, and then end up giving some way to keep your points past the deadline. I see no reason why they won't do the same thing this year.

Funny, I couldn't open it in Yahoo mail, but forwarded to another account using Outlook Express and saw it fine. Might be something in Yahoo that disables scripting in mail to avoid viruses.

While the message is coded bad, at least they have the alternative text in the source code. Here it is (the shockwave cards should work in a browser if you click on the link, it's a good thing not to have them run in e-mails)

Dear Michael,

The holidays are upon us with the glitter of gifts and the goodness of heartfelt wishes. We're delighted to share in this spirit to wish you and yours a very happy holiday season.

We'd also like to take a moment and thank you for your continued participation in e-Rewards. With exciting news coming in 2003, we hope you'll find the program to be an even more rewarding way to spend time online. Watch for details in the new year.

Not necessarily. I, unaware of the expiration of points, managed to lose some!

I was clued in by FlyerTalk on this "fine print."

I got that email, and also couldn't read it, UNTIL I hit the reply button, and then I was able to read their message. As noted above, it just said important changes were coming in 2003 and happy holidays. tls
