Goldpoints a SCAM?

As many of us know, two months ago a "system error" at Goldpoints caused our miles received via redemption to be withdrawn from our frequent flyer accounts. I have talked with Goldpoints several times, most recently today, concerning this issue. I keep getting the "wait a few more days" response.

Has anyone affected by this problem had their problem resolved? I hate to think that Goldpoints is a scam, because they are so pleasant on the phone. But I have learned through experience that most of these points-to-miles artists are scams(ClickRewards II), or questionable at best(Milespree, et al).

Obviously, I refuse to use the Goldpoints portal at this time. I strongly urge others to do the same, or at least to use your best judgement when using them.

I have been getting the runaround as I try to resolve this problem on my account. Now they want me to fax in my NW statements so they can research it further.

Automatic transfers are not posting either. Points taken on 7/28 have still not shown up on AA and AA says they have not received them. GP says it is taking 3-4 weeks for them to post now instead of a couple of days.

I had similar problems...I was told by goldpoints that my points had been posted twice...I am waiting for my most recent NW statement to see if that is indeed true.

I think it is probably right...I had miles post in May and when I check my online statement the "mileage credit withdrawn" appear in June. Online it shows "-0-" so I am ASSUMING that the original miles are still there and they added/subtracted these miles???

I am missing miles from 8 weeks ago. Now they say to allow ANOTHER 4 weeks to research the situation! These miles are two different airlines. Continental said they read the tapes every two weeks and if they were sent properly in June, that they should have posted by now. AA had no comment other than to call Goldpoints.

Just spoke to Goldpoints CSR. He said they had problems with the tapes submitted to AA but they probably resubmit this week.
BTW, the ratio is still 4:1, since they didn't fix their system yet. So I'm still safely using GoldPoints.

Is the ratio changing? Hmmm, time to check the Radisson threads.

I also just got off the phone with a Goldpoints CSR. He said the minimum transfer to AA is now 4K GP and an 8:1 ratio will be used. It'd be great if he were wrong, but I'm not banking on it!

My points finally posted today. Took almost a month but I did get the 4:1 ratio.

I have one open and one closed account with www.goldpoints.com and discovered three months ago that the closed account would also accept an "email update" for 500 points. After updating the email addresses on both accounts again the other day, I was able to consolidate the points from the two accounts and the CSR converted them to FF miles at the old 4:1 ratio.

The original transaction in question was 6/30. I got an email from GoldScam last night stating that they had verified that my miles had posted. They have not. The scam continues. Gold Scam is a total joke.

Welcome aboard, Tom!

For those of you who experienced successful posts, what was the approximate turn around time? Thanks.
