Do mypoints expire?

Do mypoints expire?
FAQ question says yes, in 2+ yrs (enter "expire" in Ask search box.) But has anyone actually had their points expire as that statement says?

Mypoints has been around only since ~1999.

Yes, I have had them expire. I joined a couple of years ago. I did not go back to the site for a while and about 1500 points expired. Now I am careful to redeem as soon as I have built up 1500 points to convert to Marriott.

Yes, but that's longer than the policy states (end of 2nd cal. year), i.e. end of '01 is when '99 ones would expire, I'd think...

On the mypoints "account statement", it lists
"miles to expire on 12/31/2002:"
