You gotta love the executive who thinks his clients are really that stupid.In order to better reward our customers we will be ending our rewards program.You will now recieve spam (promos) in your email instead so we may better serve our company.We mean you.Oh I see that will certainly make me a better customer.Outstanding good will exit strategy. All awards will end in less then 10 days.We will also not bother to notify our loyal customers.Unless they get lucky and happen to surf onto our site.Customer service at its finast hour for sure.

well, this is just like compubank all over again. compubank's competitive "advantage" was ClickMiles, and they became too expensive to award, which in turn cost them customers. like giftcertificates.com, their slide was no secret, but losing that advantage was the nail in the coffin that kept it shut. the rewards program was the point of giftcertificates.com; otherhow, GCs are easy enough to find and send online. without it, they're gonna die and they're gonna die fast. sad, really.

The latest is that GiftCertificates.com has received substantial additional funding about six weeks ago. However the termination of this marketing program removes the primary reason why I would give them my business and not go directly to any company's web site to order my gift certificates...or go to their competition, 1800GiftCertificate.com (who still has a loyalty program).

By taking benefits away from your best customers, you take the chance of losing them...I sincerely hope the alternative marketing program is substantial enough for GiftCertificates.com...or I will say goodbye to them!

Finally, they had better do a better job of running their company...or they will go through the current round of funding faster than they went through the last round...then F'edCompany.com will make them a "200 Pointer" and put them in their Hall of Fame once and for all!

I am getting points from giftcertificates.com through trocamania.com. I think it�s a good site with fair return for money spent. Their return for Marriott points is the best I�ve seen.

What is the return via trocamania? If you go through Goldpoints.com and have a Radisson card you get 6.25 airline mile per dollar spent on giftcertificate.com

Bob, is the loyalty program to which refer the one for corporate accounts only, or is there another one? Thanks...

I quit using them after Greenpoints discontinued all the airline certificates...another one down the drain!

Like PG, I link to giftcertificates.com through goldpoints.com. Goldpoints gives at least 25 pts/$ spent. 2000 goldpoints transfers to 500 AA miles.

I think they have different rates for different airlines. And you have to join goldpoints through the Radisson site to get this deal with AA.

Can someone/anyone comment on whatever 800giftcertificate.com loyalty program is perhaps being referred to?

With thanks ONLY to this posting, I logged on to my GC.com account.....to find out that the $400 worth of supercertificates I had earned had been wiped out. I immediately called the company. They "couldn't imagine" how that could have happened, and certainly, I "must have used them". I got the CS manager on the phone who is researching this. They were curious that I didn't get an email announcing the end of the program. I NEVER saw anything about this reward program's being cancelled until this board. Again, thanks for the posting.

ILTE_miles-----I noticed you have been looking for an answer for a few days now and your wait is now over: 1800giftcertificate.com does have a loyalty program other than a corporate one. They don't do much to publicise it or explain it very well either for that matter. If you sign up as a member it gets explained to you (vaguely) at that time. You earn points for spending money and additional points if you use your gc's to buy online.

Thanks Magic Miler. Is there a general percentage "back" that can be extrapolated (just so I know ahead of time what the overall benefit might work out to), or does it vary depending on vendor (or some other variable, perhaps)--?
