I have redeemed 3 separate times for Hilton points and never have had a problem. I bookmark the confirmation page as they suggest, so you can continue to go back and check on the progress of the redemption process. It does take 7-10 days for this process.

Still no luck getting emails returned. I friend has had the same problem with Vacation Miles and is simply getting stonewalled by Mypoints - again!

Mileschick is right on with the Hilton bit. Electronic rewards are easy for MYPOINTS and seem to post quickly. Just try and get something on a paper certificate though. There's no e-path to trace....just good old, slow human beings with ZERO customer accountability, as I've always said about them. Best bet for MYPOINTS is the electronic certificates.

Actually, I've had a good response with paper certificates. Although they advise 6 - 8 weeks delivery they arrived within 4 days for me!

So "e" is better than "p"! Got that!

Yet aren't the Hyatt certs somewhat of a greater "value" than Hilton's points? Perhaps I'm missing something here and I've got a load of uncashed points just looking for a redemption opportunity! Anyone? Thanks!

Well here we have it - another enquiry to MyPoints tells me to wait 4-6 weeks AGAIN.

We're now into my fourth month trying to redeem these points. I wish I had done them 1,000 at a time rather than trying to get a big award.

The cynic in me says that this level of service is the result of wanting something for nothing. I've just registered www.ihatemypoints.com and would welcom any stories about other peoples redemption experiences to add. Please just email me.

I'm now trying to find out if any kind of illegal activity has occurred - wire or mail fraud - as my next step.
