MaxRebates - customer service issues
So I would advise to never use this company.
I've made the mistake of using them 3 times.
First set of issues:
Cash back never shows up (the shopping trip will, but it'll report zero dollars). OK, so you submit a ticket. Input all the information. After several days, you'll get a response stating they can't find any order. You reply back and go back and forth (each round taking 2-3 days for a response). Then, they basically have you copy/paste the email (you can't forward it for whatever reason) from the vendor. Why all this? Because apparently the order # (in the email you got when you bought said items from said vendor) doesn't match (ever) the order # that MaxRebates internal system uses/has.
Second:
Oh, time for a payout? Well you have to verify it's you. Not once. Not twice, but 3 times.
Lastly (third one)
Order tracked, dollar amount shows good. It's been over 90 days (like 108 or something). So I login to my account (how else would I know it's pending?), fill out the form regarding the fact that it's been over 90 days. Guess what? 3 days later get an email stating they can't verify my email address because they don't have any MaxRebate account with that email address and that I need to verify my email (let's say: [email protected]) is valid. Well, 1) it's the SAME EMAIL on my account, and 2) it's the same email address you just sent me the email stating you cannot find my email address).
Sigh
Lesson learned. Never again.
Stick with Rakuten or Topcash back, IMO.
