Updated MyPoints iOS app.

I don't like it, because on the "account statement" tab it shows your account balance, but only your points available to spend. At any given time I normally have a couple thousand points pending- when planning a redemption I generally like to know when my pending points will post as well.... And how many.

Also, in this new app I'm unable to click a survey to complete under the surveys tab. I have an iPhone 6 so I'm guessing it is the app and not my phone. Surveys tab= currently worthless.

I'm Giving Up Surveys
 

I have been doing My Points for quite a while and just cashed in my last points for a $25 CVS card and now have decided to give up the surveys. I have always known that the time/value relationship was really poor but found some of them interesting and filled those rare empty moments.

Recently, however, many of the surveys seem to be a real annoyance to complete. Of course, there is the issue of answering 20 questions and finally being told you don't qualify, but the mechanics of many of the more recent ones are annoying - they are often slow-loading, not just at the beginning but nearly every page, and moving around a page with multiple questions is tedious. With all the experience available in designing surveys, I would think a professional company could do a lot better.

I guess I will just stick with the click-throughs and if they run a special on gift cards that I need, I will pick those up, but I feel so relieved not to feel obligated to do any more surveys.

If you want to do surveys for airline miles Opinion Miles Club (United) and Points for Surveys (Jet Blue) are a significantly better return rate, such that it is, for your time, and you can usually force your way through the offered surveys to find those nice 50 miles for 10 minutes offerings there.

MyPoints just gave me 1750 points as a special thank you for being a member. That was nice of them!

I got 4,000 points for >600,000 lifetime points! I'm amazed that they were available right away, not pending. After getting over the shock, I spent them.

Wonder if that's for people who've bought through MyPoints (I've gotten 80K+ MyP's in 8 years with almost 0 buying, mostly from surveys).

Hope I get at least 600-800 points (roughly .75-1% of lifetime) if they're giving any as Christmas bonus (never gotten one, like most of us)...

I've earned 140,000 in 2 years :/ no bonus. And I shop a LOT with MyPoints, just spent like $500 through Ibis hotels actually...!

Guys, this is a great deal:

$50 Einstein Bro gift cards are only 5,000 MyPoints, Boston Market $50 cards are also only $50. Both seem to be clearance type deals so get them while they're available. Quite possibly the best redemption if you live near either one. Boston market frequently has like a $3 off $6 or $4 off $10 coupons floating around!

Does anyone know how frequently Mypoints sends out the invitation to join Costco for 550 points? I waited a bit too long to reply to my email, and it said the opportunity had expired. My membership just expired, so it would be a good time to take advantage of this. tls

I don't think the 550 point Costco offer is valid for renewals, only for new memberships. At least that is what all of the BonusMails have read that I have seen.
