I got the test.com this morning, but was back to a (very buggy) Ipsos screening survey this afternoon.

I don't recall getting an email this month saying I can earn 100 Mypoints by doing searches in the Mypoints search engine. Did anyone else? Don't want to do the searches unless I'm going to get the points. thx tls

Murphy's law, got the Mypoints email about searching about an hour after I posted the above. Usually I get it on the 5th or 6th I think, but anyway, it once again you can get 100 points for 41 searches. tls

Discovered yesterday that OD is now 8 pts/$ instead of 1,000/$100, etc. Since I spend a small fortune at OD, this one hurts.

Hey guys, I haven't used MyPoints before, is it pretty legit? I've used TCB and UProm, but hadn't heard of MP until I did an evreward search for Amazon. EV says MyPoints is offering 9pts/$ at Amazon.
Is there a Conga or signup bonus? I did a search and could only find something from a year ago.

Usually a sign up bonus through United Airlines for 500-1000 bonus United miles. Very, very legit. I've redeemed for around 40k UA miles in the last two years

Looks like the 9% was a mirage, when I go to MyPoints.com its only 5% and only on a few categories I'm not interested in.

Amazon's SOP is to only give points/cash back on a limited number of categories at a time pretty much everywhere.

As for the 9 points/dollar, MyPoints sometimes run specials where the points/$ go higher for a limited time only. (example- a few 15 points/$ limited time offers for IHG bookings in the past year) I assume the other site picked up on one of those specials.

No, it wasn't a mirage... MyPoints did offer 9 MyP/$ on certain Amazon.com categories (like some clothing and some other less frecuented categories) for like 2 weeks, now it dropped to 5 MyP/$. Most mayor categories, like electronics, are usually excluded from any offers (they don't accumulate a single point).

I usually get a $100 Sears/Kmart gift card from (12.8K) MyPoints every 6-8 months w/o investing a $, just time involved. That tells you it would be even faster, depending on spending online...

Is it just my imagination, or are there less survey opportunities lately? I'm still getting them, it just seems like not quite as many. tls

It happens every January. We are bombarded with surveys and click thru point earning opportunities in Dec and it slows down in January.

And we have an unannounced devaluation, what looks like across the board, or at least in the categories where I've paid attention. It's now 6100 MP for 2500 UA miles and 12000 MP for 5000 UA miles.
