Ryanair online check-in question
I just booked a few flights taking advantage of the Ł10 no tax offer from STN-SZG, and in fact I got them all for Ł5 no tax so I'm very happy indeed.
I've actually booked more that I need because I'm not sure yet of my actual initerary. I booked 2 outbound flights and 3 possible returns figuring that by throwing away three Ł5 tickets, I end up with a much more flexible ticket to where I want to go for Ł25 and that's still cheaper than two legs on a Ł0.01 ticket with tax.
Now, thinking about it, I'm wondering whether I've actually done this all wrong, after feeling under pressure to make a decision so I could get the bookings made before the midnight deadline!
I booked two journeys as returns as one as a single. What happens if I use the outbound on one return ticket but want to come home on the return leg of a different ticket. Can I check in online days in advance for all 5 flights and then pick which ones to turn up for?
If I don't turn up for a return, I can't see much of a problem, but if I don't turn up for an outbound, is the corresponding return leg still going to be good?
Probably a dumb question, but if anyone knows that I've shot myself in the foot by not booking 5 singles, I might have to burn another fiver to make sure I have all the options I wanted.
Thanks.

Wow it all sounds a bit complicated, but I can help on one point, IF all your flights are with Ryanair. Ryanair is a point-to-point airline, and even if you book what looks like a return ticket (out and return on the same route) the airline considers each flight as a single contract, and so there is no problem if you just use one leg of a journey - be it outward or inward. Once the flight you booked has departed without you, your ticket for that flight is completely invalid, but that one only! If it is combined with a ticket for a flight which would serve as your return, that flight reservation is still valid as booked.
As regards the online check in, that's for you to decide - remember that you must only have handbaggage and an EU passport to use the online check in facility. But make sure you observe the online check in deadline because if you miss it, you will have to check in at the airport and that will cost you!! (You'll have to go to pay the excess fee at a separate desk before they'll complete your check in!!!)

As Alsacienne said, no problem at all. I do this all the time - booking 'insurance' flights with Ryanair that I'll never take.
One other tip: if you were planning on buying priority boarding (please don't!) or taking checked baggage, there's no need to pay up-front now for all the possible flights. You can do so up to four hours before the flight online, or even at the airport (more expensive) once you know which flight you're taking.
