Flight prices…

Hi, been looking at flight prices for summer 2023 and noticed today that they have suddenly increased by approx Ł30 for the Canaries. How likely are they to come back down again or are they more likely now to keep on increasing? I know last year prices suddenly decreased dramatically due to Covid etc but just wondering if next summer means everything as it was pre Covid 🤔

Welcome to FT!

Wait until much closer to departure. In general FR fares are at their lowest 2-4 weeks out. The only exception may to be peak summer holidays but it is really difficult to predict. But if the fares are already very high now I would take the chance and count on the fare decreasing late spring next year.

Thank you for the welcome!

I am thinking they will steadily increase now but hopefully they will reduce around Easter time. I know last year, we got flights at a really good price as they had a flash sale, then they then dropped them by another Ł100 which was annoying!

There seem to be fewer airlines these days going to the Canaries for some reason

The best time to buy Ryanair tickets is 6-8 weeks before departure.

Thank you, I will bear that in mind. I had another look today and noticed they've jumped up in price since last week.

I wonder if the likes of Tui will be cheaper nearer hand too. They are currently way more expensive than Ryanair.

My experience is shorter to departure than 6-8 weeks. More like 2-4 weeks out.
