Refund request (Serious illness of a passenger)
Hello everyone,
I just asked for a request claim because I got cancer and stroke, and unfortunately I can’t fly with my family...
but i didn’t get any confirmation to my email that the request was accepted. How should I know the situation of the refund? When I will be informed?
With your experience, do you think they will accept my refund ?
Thank you so much

Peleg welcome to FlyerTalk although I am sorry to learn the of the circumstances that brought you to us.
Ryanair T&Cs (Clause 10.4) allow for refunds for passengers (and those who were due to travel with them) If someone on the booking becomes seriously ill and is unable to travel. They say they will refund the total amount for everyone travelling on your booking; or, waive the flight change fee. You must supply suitable evidence of the serious illness before the date you were due to travel.
A refund will only be given if the serious illness was diagnosed after the reservation was made, and evidence of that will be required.
You mention in your post that you emailed Ryanair , the best way to make the request is via their "Refund Application Form"(link below), ensure you complete all the required information carefully, make sure you select 'death or serious illness of a customer booked to travel'.
The form will be found by clicking on this link: https://refundclaims.ryanair.com/
The relevant Terms and Conditions will be found here: https://www.ryanair.com/gb/en/useful...your%20flights.
If you get stuck, please do come back to us. I wish you well with your medical situation and hope the prognosis is a positive one.
