Uber currency

Hello, afaik Uber deals in USD. However when I look at the fare estimator for example in HKG a 20km trek comes up as 156-206$.

Does the estimator quote in local currency?

Yes, and you also pay in a local currency which then gets converted by your bank.

Uber's a US-based company, but their pricing and charges are in local currency. If you quoted a trip for London, it would be in UK Pounds.

Yes they charge in local currency.

So if you're using Uber overseas, be sure to use a credit card without a foreign transaction fee.
