Miles not posting
I had two charges for the same $ amount at the same restrauant on the same day, and only one posted. I faxed in my credit card statement to show the two charges, and not only have they not taken care of the problem, no miles from any charges have posted in the last six days. Anyone else had this problem?

When I've had to FAX in receipts, it usually posts within a few days. But I don't know why the later dines did not also post?
One way to solve the problem of "the same amount on the same day" is to add a tip to the cahrge (even if only a penny or two). That way, the charges are for different amounts, and can not be taken as duplicates! One charge is $15.00, the second charge is $15.02 - so they are not the same!
What is the difference if you charge a $.02 tip or drop 2 pennies in the "tip jar" on the counter?

I thought what the_traveler said to do would work. I was surprised when I had a charge of $15.00 and one of $15.10. Only one of those posted.
Guess I will send in the receipt.

So am I! It has worked for me before, why not now?
I've also had a $100 bill that I split into 4 $25 charges. Surprisingly 2 of the charges posted, but the other 2 did not! I had to FAX in the 4 receipts to get the other 2 credits. (This was before I knew about the "varying charges".)
Perhaps, the computer goes by the amount of miles given. So if you get 5/$, then $15.00 and $15.10 would both give 75 miles, but if your tip causes the charge to be $15.20, you would get 76 miles. Maybe the computer would not think it is a duplicate.

For those having trouble getting miles posted for the second dine on the same day at the same restaurant: Have you checked to make sure that the restaurant in question does not limit you to one dine per month? Or, if you dine at the restaurant very often, that it doesn't have a $600/month limit that you have exceeded?

Which reminds me - make sure that you "create a profile" at each airline's account. Otherwise, it will only show (and post) "once per month"! By creating a profile, the dines go to "unlimited per month"!
