Large SUV for 5 teen boys and mom

Yes. Sigh. As much as I'd like to cram them all in the Infiniti QX60, I must go bigger. We'll be on the road 2 hours to and from destination from MCO. And then daily excursions. These guys are ~5'10 and lean to average build. They will each have a carryon size bag (as will I). So 6 smallish bags. Alamo has a Ford Expedition or Chevy Suburban. I'd rather get the Ford b/c seems easier to drive (I'm petite) but will we fit comfortably? Which one has better ventilation? I'm not kidding.

If you can guarantee it'll be a 2018 Expedition, then I'd go that route. Otherwise, the 2017 is SO dated and the GM versions are a mile better. Much easier to drive, better options, etc. However, I don't think any agency will guarantee a GM/FMC so you're best to book whatever is cheaper.

Also: the Suburban/Yukon XL is comparable to the Expedition L. The standard Expedition is more comparable to the Tahoe/Yukon. The bigger variants will be more suitable for 6 plus luggage. The smaller versions will be tight as there's very limited room behind the 3rd row.

Great detail! Thank you. I've just reserved both the Expedition and the Suburban (+$30 total over 5 days) to be safe. When we get there, I'll cancel one. Did it through CostcoTravel so won't be billed. I'm thinking we will end up in Suburban b/c unlikely a 2018 Exp and the tightness sounds like it could be a problem. I don't want them to have to sit with a suitcase between their legs or whatever. Oy I hope I can maneuver that big sucker! And see over the steering wheel!
