Radisson Red Portland

Unable to find any posts addressing this relatively new property. Considering it for a work trip in the fall and not sure if it is too hip/grown-up dorm, though it is substantially cheaper than any other of the chain properties. Any experiences?

Evidently no FT members have stayed here but the TA reviews seem to be all round positive. There are only a few Reds in the world and they seem to all get favorable reviews so I wouldn’t be afraid of trying one of them. Please give it a try if it works for you and then let us know

Stayed there for three nights back in May. Got upgraded to a superior corner room. Lots of exposed concrete, mostly white with loud red accents. The "desk" was a picnic style table with benches. Mezzanine level has a bunch of games and a sitting area. We didn't eat breakfast there, so cannot comment on that. There is a Starbucks in the building and a number of other coffee shops nearby. The Oregonian reviewed the bar (OUI!) fairly harshly, saying the one good thing about it is that it makes every other bar in Portland look good. We had a glass of wine there and had no complaints. Comfy Radisson bed, but yes, VERY millennial / hipster focused. Great location though.

Just completed a 4 night stay and had similar experience. It is Radisson's version of Aloft or Moxy.
As a Platinum elite, received upgrade to high floor corner superior room. Very spacious, nice views
It is in a great location.
The decor is too loud for me, but I am not a millenial. Bright bold colors crazy wallpaper, etc
Breakfast: Choice of pre packaged boxed meal that was microwaved in the back kitchen.
2pm late checkout proactively offered.

On my stay now. As a gold, was upgraded to an 8th Floor (top hotel floor) Corner room. The room is very large but the layout is a bit strange as the "picnic table" (i.e., desk) faces a bare wall, and then there is a massive amount of space in front of the windows without any armchairs or anything.
Welcome amenity of two cans of red wine.
Was out from 8am to 1245pm with sign asking for cleaning on door, but never came.

Gym was a bit disappointing in terms of how little equipment; it's actually heavily used.
Starbucks in the lobby and a Safeway supermarket short walk away. Fridge and coffeemaker in room. No business center. Loud wall decor but otherwise fine.
