Can't help with your specific question but to get better answers to the first question (and alternatives to the Radisson) I suggest you repost it in the Air Canada forum.

Don't worry about it being off-topic, just tell them I sent you.

This hotel has been around for yeas and was recently (within the last year) rebranded as a Radisson. I can remember for the longest time it was the Sheraton Villa. Haven't been there for a long time so can't comment.

I can tell you, that it is the only 3+* hotel in that area. However, if you have a car, the Hilton Metrotown is only 10 minutes away. You are also about 15 minutes from Downtown Vancouver - where your choices are unlimited.

Good luck!

Radisson Burnaby

I have not stayed there so cannot offer any input, but I just wanted to mention that Todd-R may be thinking of a different hotel because this property has been a Radisson since around 1998.

I stayed there while it was being re-furbed about 2-3 years ago. The rooms are quite varied in size and shape. I had a N/S room but tobacco smoke kept oozing outta the non-functioning bathroom vent. The FD did nothing to stop it or change rooms. The restaurant is poor. The hotel is next to a casino and room/car break-ins are not uncommon. You will be far better off at the Hilton Metrotown. I checked out after one day and checked into the Hilton. Do a search on the Hilton forum for more info on this nice hotel.

The Hilton is okay, nothing spectacular, not 4 Diamond as rated by AAA.
