Radisson Embassador - San Juan

Anyone stayed here? Several of my friends and I are camping out here for a wedding over Thanksgiving. Just wondering what to expect.

Thx in advance :-)

I assume you mean the Radisson Ambassador Plaza on Ashford Avenue. We have stayed there several times prior to a cruise out of San Juan. It is very conveniently located as far as other hotels, getting to Old San Juan and lots of restaurants in the area. They are not on the beach, however, and I found that if you invest the time, you can get excellent rates there. The hotel is very nice, rooms and casino very nice, staff friendly and helpful. Their Italian restaurant is not cheap but very good. Hope that helps.

Stayed there last year for 2 weekend nights for $159 total. Got to the checkin and the clerk was adamant that the rate should be $159 for each night, but I had the reservation printout and he eventually honored it, but with much anger. He ended up putting us in a the last room in the hall on the fourth floor right over the air conditoning system and vent.

It was extremely loud when sitting on the balcony so we didn't sit there. We had a beautiful view of the parking lot and vent. We knew we wouldn't get a nicer room by asking so we just smiled and enjoyed the roof pool and Old San Juan. It is an easy bus ride to Old Town and being in the Condado, there are plenty of restaurants.

Got coupons for two free drinks with the rate as well. Had a margarita, otherwise $7.00 or so, and listened to the band downstairs in the lounge outside the restaurant. There is a casino in the back as well. Didn't try it as we had just left Wyndham El San Juan (couldnt keep paying $300 night for rooms) and their casino was much more impressive.
