If you are certain that you can complete 20 stays and/or 35 nights next year, why would you do a rollover? Concierge level will get you 1K more points per online booking than Gold, 5 more points per dollar spent, plus free breakfast. I am making an effort to reach Concierge level. Just one more stay needed. The free breakfast, particularly in Europe, is well worth the matress run for me. Especially if I book a C&P rate for around $50-60.

Looking forward to one full year of nice upgrades and extra points!

I'm anxious to see how many hotel desk staff know that Concierge status comes with free breakfast.

My experience is that they know about it, but they have to manually remove it from the bill. The system doesn't recognise the benefit. I have to point it out almost every time with rates that don't include breakfast, but they always quickly fix the issue.
