upgrading from y on LX

Is it possible to upgrade from (almost full) Y fare on LX using a non-qualifyer FF program? E.g. AA gives milage for flts. on Swiss - but does not seem to allow upgrading on Swiss.

erik123, I would recommend that you post this in the forums of the respective FFPs which allow award redemption on LX and of which you are a member. I'm affraid that here in the Qualiflyer forum, most of us can tell you the rules for how upgrades on LX work with Qualiflyer miles, but not how this would be handled in a different programme.

Within Qualiflyer, upgrades on LX metal are possible regardless of booking class. I doubt that miles from other FFPs can upgrade LX, but if they do, I would expect that the booking class wouldn't matter either in case of LX.

You CANNOT UPGRADE on LX using AA AAdVANTAGE miles. You can do so with only QUALIFLYER or with CX's ASIAMILES.
