DOH>AKL Flight Load
Greetings! I have an upcoming trip from London to Auckland next week - its a long old journey and I'm thinking about the possibility of an airport upgrade at DOH for the longest leg of the journey to AKL. However, since it's tough to get into NZ right now, I'm thinking maybe the flight will be relatively quiet. Is anyone here able to check how busy flight QR6358 is departing DOH>AKL at 19:50 on 15th Feb? Many thanks in advance for any insight.

Due to NZ MIQ limitations would expect no more 30-40 pax into AKL, 50-75 would be a lot. And some into BNE. AU open to AU citizens/PRs without quarantine. After 21 Feb will be more into BNE when AU opens to the world without quarantine (if jabbed).
Edit
Looked again for 15 Feb 2022 19:50 departure
Doha to Auckland Total duration :19h 10m
Departure Tue , 15 Feb 2022 19:50 DOH Doha, Hamad International Airport Qatar 19h 10m 1 Stop (BNE)
Arrival Thu , 17 Feb 2022 01:00AKL +2day Auckland, Auckland Airport New Zealand QR 0898, Boeing 777-300ER
Enjoy your 10 days in MIQ. Given the arrival time most likely will be in Auckland and not transfered to another city

Looks like 6358 is a BA codeshare. It is on QR metal (QR 898) 77W. OP are you on BA metal for LHR to DOH?
Still many seat for sale, an operational upgrade is very unlikely. And, I'm not sure QR will sell a day of upgrade for a BA coded flight.

NZ border is effectively closed. Only allowing entry to a very few NZ Citizens/PR's and limited others with a pre booked quarantine slot. NZ may be fully open Oct 2022
Hence a lot of (expensive) seats for sale. In Y would expect getting a row to yourself not hard

Hi Mwenezi, apologies for the incorrect flight number, you are correct it is via BNE to AKL.
Really appreciate your input and, yes, it's very limited into NZ currently and your numbers certainly help me decide that there's probably going to be plenty of room onboard.
Not looking forward to MIQ at all but going to take plenty of things to fill my time and just invested in some resistance bands to try and maintain some semblance of fitness
Thanks once again for your help

Thank you Penguinmoon, really appreciate your help! It's actually QR metal all the way there - long story but I asked my client for BA (or Oneworld...) flights for this job and this is what they came up with. Flying Qantas/BA on the way home.
Thanks once again
Thanks once again

I flew at the end of September and had similar loads, probably around 70 to Brisbane and 21 continuing to Auckland. I had a row to myself all the way from London to Auckland. However, I've read in other groups that loads in and out of Brisbane are beginning to get busier now that Australia is reopening, with BNE flights go up from 3x weekly to around 6x weekly (still only 3x weekly continuing to Auckland)

Hey! So the flight from LHR>DOH was comfortable enough with plenty of space on the A380 Upper Deck.
Unfortunately, for the much longer journey, my anticipation of a comfortable and spacious flight to NZ was crushed as soon as I set eyes on Gate C9. There were so many people already at the gate that there was not enough room for everyone. The flight was completely rammed and there were possibly 10 spare seats in Economy. Even the ground and cabin crew couldn't believe how busy the flight was.
Obviously the BNE>AKL sector was very quiet but that was only a relatively short hop.

QLD has allowed quarantine free entry for about a 3 weeks now--->https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-01-...open/100764548
Enjoy your time in AKL MIQ (7 days?)!!
