I've been looking to fly to MLE and Qatar are certainly offering some very good fares from Western Europe and Scandanavia. For between 1700-2000 EUR you can look at these departure points: BRU (Cheapest), OSL, GOT, MAD, BCN, IBZ, PMI (and other Spanish departure points)
Via the Qatar website you can select routings that take you through LHR for 1-200 EUR more (possibly worth it for the tier points and/or lounge).
I ended up purchasing for EUR 2K flights from MAD, simply because of the sheer volume of BA/Iberia flights from/to LHR. BRU didn't work for me because my dates meant a 10hour stopover in DOH which I didn't fancy!

Manged to pick up ZAG-DOH-KUL & LGK-DOH-ARN for £1450each, in March includes a week stopover in Doha so we can nip over to DXB via MCT for a few days.
MH sale on at moment, KUL-LGK in J for £60. (One Way)
BA sale also on LHR-ZAG & ARN-LHR in CE for £190.
Worth the hassle if you split up the journey, rather than paying £2500+ direct from LHR.

Not strictly a QR sale price, but in the BA sale you can get LHR-DOH-CGK-DOH-LHR all on QR metal for circa £1500. Not too shabby, especially as there appears to be no December blackout.
Factoring in cashback, and nifty discount for booking the fare as a package with a hotel on a certain OTA beginning with E, I've paid a little over £1400 for an over Christmas itinerary. CGK is fairly handy for a number of pleasant spots in which to while away the Christmas break!

Feel obliged to mention that in the current BA sale you can pick up LON-SEZ for £1350pp (companion fare so requires 2 ppl). It's possible to book with 3 out of 4 legs on Qatar (hence why I'm posting here).
Apologies - I got the price wrong, it’s actually just under £1450pp if you maximise the Qatar legs. Try outbound on 20 August, returning 29th for 3 legs on Qatar and inbound DOH-LHR on BA. If you return on the Sunday on the direct BA flight then you reduce the price by about £100 or so.
