Was hoping they'd keep the incoming planes with QSuites on the LHR QR1/2 rotation but i assume they'd be using the planes for the JFK route instead? :(
1 frame is needed for QR41-42 CDG then another 1 for QR1-2 LHR and two frames will be utilized on QR701-702 JFK. Sounds like a plan!! ;) |

QR701 JFK Qsuite débutante could really be 16.12.2017. By then there should be 4 new delivered 777-300ERs, counting from A7-BEK which was just delivered few days ago.

flyvirgin the time elapsed from take off in DOH until landing again in DOH DOH-JFK-DOH is about 26-28 hours so if aircraft are dedicated to a route then three aircraft will be required to service the route! But this should not be a problem since the Qsuite aircraft will all be used for all destinations CDG, JFK and LHR. They will be scheduled for flights so as to give maximum use of the expensive aircraft in revenue earning service. All five aircraft will appear regularly at all three destinations.

Solo Flyers - What do you like Better? The A/K Seats or the B/J Seats.
The B/J Seats are all forward facing and it looks a little cozier with the nook/extra seating area. The A/K Seats are great for views but are you really that far off the window in the B/J Seats? The A/K seats have that armrest that raises and is a storage cabinet, does the B/J seats have the same? Im leaning towards the B/J seats for DOH-JFK. Its a long flight to be flying backwards. |

Says one frame leave DOH Monday 8 am - QR701, coming back QR702 arriving DOH Tuesday at 17:15. It would be then possible to fly to JFK again on Wednesday 8 am. So, without maintenance or interruptions like diverts, AOG etc. QR701/702 would be possible with just 2 777-300ER frames. Ofcourse with irregularities, operation sub. in other non-Qsuite 777-300ER frame. If you mean, the aircraft that comes back from JFK would probably operate QR41 CDG at 1:20 am, then you still have the frame that coming back from QR42 to operate QR701 at 8 am. I don't quite get your point with 3 frames is needed. Please elaborate. Thank you so much. |
Our QR2 flight in Nov has just been switched to a Q Suite 77W. Excited to try the new seat but we have been allocated 1E and 1F. The window seats look more spacious (is that true?) plus I prefer a window seat anyway. They are all either take or blocked in the forward cabin but available in the rear Business cabin. If we move to the rear cabin are we likely to experience slower service and menu items running out as presumably we'd be served after the forward cabin. Anyone have any experience of this?

No problems running out of food full choice of everything. Also people were complaining the centre seats were claustrophobic I think due to the lower ceiling and high walls, but many enjoyed it, I had window side on both sectors. Shame they never added wifi ! All that money on a shiney new product let down by no wifi. |

Preference on the aft facing window or the forward facing? I can't decide.

I preferred 10K to be honest slightly more space around the window and great for looking out. |

Are the seats isolated from the neighboring seats? I mean if the next person behind/in front of you bump into the seat or wall, can one hear the sound easily or even feel the movement?
The picture looks pretty tight in terms of spacing so I wonder if it's anything like the AA J seats on 787. |
