Anyone flying on February 1 to AKL on QR 920 ?

This will be the longest nonstop flight : 14500km 300km more than the previous one EK 448.
Anyone on this inaugural flight tomorrow ?
It will be a 777L unlike Emirates who fly with an A380.

Am on the flight from DOH on 13 February with the wife then onto Tonga for hopefully a relaxing week. Am looking forward to it, especially in business class. I saw an article on it just now too. http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/...-a7560531.html

No I couldn't make it work out with my schedule. However should see the a/c in AKL when I pass through before it heads out on the reverse inaugural flight.

It won't happen. CX uses the NZ lounge due to its alliance with NZ.

The Emperor Lounge does have paid per use entry (slightly discounted if booked online), but has fairly steep prices for what is not much better than the QF lounge.

When flying QF in the afternoon, I use the EK lounge (it is shut in the morning). However, that access is due to the EK-QF alliance so also won't be available for QR passengers.

I'm on the flight from DOH on the 11th. Hopefully there will be a Trip Report or a review posted before then! Can't wait!

Perhaps I'm missing something, but won't it be like other B777 flight, just last a bit longer?

LOL, you're probably right! I just remembered when Emirates started DXB-AKL, there were a number of articles and trip reports online. One even had an hour by hour review!

Not long to go now until the inaugural ^

For me, most of all im looking forward to my first Qatar J flight. Flown J several times with BA/AA (and even Aeroflot once!) but never for more than about 8 hours, never had PJ's on a plane and even had to google Amuse Bouche, so quite new territory for me
