On my last KUL - DOH the other night (12b in Y, A340), I discovered halfway through the flight that there was chewing gum plastered over the front of my jeans
On examination it seems that freshly chewed gum had been placed on the footrest of the seat in front and the footrest then rotated so that it was not visible.
The FAs were great and tried their best to remove the gum, but it was not possible to remove completely.
Aren't there some wonderful people out there??

I can't help with the investigation into the offending chewer, but I believe putting your jeans in the freezer is an excellent way to get the gum off.Originally Posted by Oxonian

Thanks Jonnieboy,
After some googling, I eventually went for a wd40 soak which brought it off with some rubbing with a toothbrush.
I have raised the issue with qatar, whilst not seeking recompense as the gum is now off I believe that proper cleaning prior to loading might have discovered it in the first instance.

Just one question - why one earth did the FAs help you to remove the gum? Were you a special assistance customer?
