Breakfast in Al Safwa. In the interests of research for fellow FTers, thought I should ask for Krug to accompany the (rather good) scrambled eggs. New bottle opened and two colleagues and I enjoying it at our table in an increasingly busy lounge.

Sorry to see that Krug is no longer served in the A380 lounge as well as in the Al Mourjan lounge, which I do understand since the Al Safwa lounge has opened.

I have both followed and contributed to this thread I think the only reasonable conclusion that can be extracted from all the input is what I have mentioned in other threads on many topics of QR: QR is consistently inconsistent.
Also, a second lesson that is safe to extract from all this is that what information makes it to the frontline is likely not coherent, it is divergent and it certainly is interpreted, if possible to make it the answer the customer wishes for. Hence wether the bar staff at AM says this is the end of Krug or not seems to have little bearing on realities, and same goes for what has been told onboard.
But, all in all, evreyone needs a game to play, and this one is a nice one.

"May I have a glass of Krug, please?"
"May I see your boarding pass? ... Oh, I see that you are not one of our first class passengers. In that case, I have this lovely bottle of André® from the wineries of Ernest and Julio Gallo which I'm sure that you will enjoy." [spoken with nose slightly elevated]
